Project Goal: Goals #1: Create a space that allows for family functions without separating the family in two separate rooms. Remove the diving kitchen and Dining room wall to allow for a conducive family space.

Goal #2:  Create a functional fun Kitchen while incorporating Purple, Green and Yellow as the main colors with resale value in mind

Results: Modern French Quarters meets Mardi Gras flair. The open kitchen invites interaction between guests and the cook. The open kitchen invites interaction between guests and the cook. A smart layout aids maneuverability, while large windows at both ends of the home allow natural sunlight to pour in, reducing the need for constant artificial lighting. The stools around the main kitchen island welcome homework and convivial conversation with the cook. Modern French Quarters meets Mardi Gras as a theme predominates, reflected in the colors and materials found throughout all parts of the home. The Uba Tuba Granite countertops and Elkay Avado stainless steel sinks in the kitchen were chosen for their durability and function. The backsplash anchors the unity of colors and ties both rooms together. The custom design crystal pendants sparkle with elegances.

Customer testimonial:Rob and Suzanne Kalmin are wonderful; they are very good at what they do and are a pleasure to work with. They both care tremendously about the quality of their work (and their crew's work) and I never once doubted if there was a small bump in the road that they wouldn't correct it. We had done a lot of research and read the horror stories of projects gone awry, crooked contractors, and poor quality work - none of this came into play with RJK. They are a reputable firm doing high quality work and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or use them again.
